10 Home Cleaning Tricks Using Toothpaste

Stores such as Walmart or Target make everyone feel like they need different cleaning products for everything. There are cleaning supplies for everything you can think of, but you can use something that you already have without having to buy something new; toothpaste. Most, have toothpaste in their home and only think about using it on their teeth, but what if I told you, you can clean your house with it.

Here are 10 Home Cleaning Tricks Using Toothpaste.

If you get a toothbrush a put a small bit of toothpaste on it, you can clean silver and brass. All you must do is put a bit of the paste on your toothbrush, rinse, dry, and repeat one more time. Side note, if it is heavy duty let the toothpaste sit on it overnight then follow the rest of the steps.

Have any metal outdoor furniture that needs cleaning? Get a wet toothbrush and add some paste. With a bit of elbow grease, your furniture will shine!

Piano keys can start to look worn after awhile, but all you have to do is get some paste on a damp cotton swab. Softly wipe all the keys, then dry. I promise they will look nice and shiny.

Have any scuffs on leather shoes or furniture? Rub some toothpaste on it with a soft damp cloth it will come right out. Just make sure to not use any toothpaste with any bleaching or whitening agents.

Little ones love to draw, but it can be a pain when they draw on the painted walls with crayon. All you have to do is get a damp cloth with some paste and rub their drawing. Then repeat with just a damp cloth, and dry it. (Test it out on a small bit before the whole thing to see how it affects the type of paint.)

Toothpaste can actually work on some clothing stains! Rub the paste on the stain with a bit of water and pop it into the washer.

We all of those little scratches on our phone screens. Take a small bit of toothpaste on your finger and rub it on the scratches. Then a slightly damp towel to wipe it away, and dry it. The scratches should be less noticeable!

Toothpaste can take out stains off clothes, but what about carpet? All you must do is take the paste and put it on the stain. Take an old toothbrush and scrub it in. Rinse and repeat until the stain disappears.

The smell of milk from a babies bottle can be awful, but next time you're cleaning them wash them by hand with some toothpaste. It should take the smell right out.
